Matt’s practice is primarily concentrated in medical/professional malpractice defense. He represents physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, hospitals, and nursing homes in State and Federal courts. Matt has been consistently recognized in Upstate New York Super Lawyers for Personal Injury Medical Malpractice Defense.

Matt obtained a J.D., cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law, where he also served on the Syracuse Law Review. Matt obtained his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (E.S.F.).

Matt frequently provides lectures to medical professionals on issues related to medical malpractice, risk management and best practices. He has published articles in the Syracuse Law Review. Matt provides pro bono services for the Volunteer Lawyers Project of CNY and has been recognized twice for Distinguished Pro Bono Service. Matt is a member of the Tully School District Board of Education and a past board member of the St. Elizabeth College of Nursing. Matt also serves as the Attorney Advisor for the Tully High School Mock Trial Team and participates in Lawyer in the Classroom.

Matt is admitted to practice throughout New York State, the United States District Court (Northern and Western Districts of New York), and the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. He is a member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Onondaga County Bar Association.

Matt resides in Tully with his wife and three children.
