John Penman obtained his J.D., cum laude, from Albany Law School in 2024. During law school, Jake was a fellow at the Government Law Center and a research assistant for a project evaluating New York financial institutions. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, with a minor in writing, in 2018 from Syracuse University. At Syracuse, he received first prize in the undergraduate competition for the Stephen Crane Award for Short Fiction.
Jake is admitted to practice in the State of New York, and is a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Prior to law school, Jake worked for a gallery in New York City.
He currently resides in Syracuse.
