Our Expansion is Making Progress

We Are Under Construction!  

article picture Demolition began today on our screened in porch to make way for a new main client entrance, reception area and additional offices for our growing practice. The project should be completed November 1st.

The temporary main entrance to our building is now at the kitchen-side of the building, to the left as you enter the driveway. When visiting, please look for the signs directing you to this entrance.

Thank you for your patience during this renovation process.

Appellate Clerk Becomes Newest Associate at GGH  

Andrew Borelli, an Appellate Court Attorney at the Fourth Department, Rochester, NY, joined the office after completing his two year committment. A magna cum laude graduate of the SUNY Buffalo Law School, class of 2013, Andrew was named to the Order of the Coif and elected to membership on the Buffalo Law Review and elected Executive Publications Editor of the Review. He earned his undergraduate degree at Le Moyne College, summa cum laude.

Judge Holds Admittance Ceremony at GGH!  

article picture U.S. Magistrate Judge Thérèse Wiley Dancks held a swearing in ceremony at our office to admit Attorneys Max Gale, Edward Thater and Katherine Buckley to the New York State, Northern District Court. The ceremony was followed by a light reception.

Attorney Gale Reappointed  

Attorney Catherine Gale has been reappointed to the Judicial Hearing Officer Selection Advisory Committee for the Fourth Judicial Department. The appointment runs from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2017.

Two Associates, Awaiting Admission, Join GGH  

Gale Gale & Hunt is pleased to announce that Nicole Habek Holland and Katherine "Katie" Buckley received notification that each passed the NYS Bar exam and will be admitted to practice in February. Nicole and Katie joined the office late last year.

Katie, a magna cum laude graduate of the Vermont Law School, earned her undergraduate degree at Clarkson, graduating with distinction. At Vermont Law, she was elected to membership on the school's Law Review and held an externship with the Federal District Court, District of Vermont.

Nicole earned her Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School and graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University. She worked as a Post-Graduate Fellow with the Chemung County District Attorney's Office before joining the firm.

GGH Welcomes a Fulbright Scholar  

Edward J. Thater recently joined the GGH office and is awaiting admission to the New York State Bar. A Fulbright Scholar (Weimar, Germany) following graduation from Nazareth College, Ed worked as the Legislative Director to Assemblyman William B. Magnarelli prior to entering Syracuse University College of Law from which he graduated magna cum laude this year. He was an Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and member of the Justinian Honor Society.

GGH Welcomes Two New Associates  

Gale Gale & Hunt is delighted to announce that two attorneys recently joined the office as associates.

ADAM R. CROWLEY, a 2010 summa cum laude graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, was a member of the college’s Law review and was named to the Order of the Coif and the Justinian Honor Society. He worked as a Campaign Manager and District Campaign Director in Oklahoma between college and law school and also worked for Shore Publishing as an Editorial Assistant, writing human interest and news articles for a group of seven newspapers on the Connecticut shoreline. Following graduation from law school, Adam was a Public Interest Fellow, representing clients in administrative hearings and immigration matters, at Legal Services of Central New York. Prior to joining Gale Gale & Hunt, Mr. Crowley was a Litigation Associate at White & Case, LLP in New York City.

MICHAEL W. ARTHUR earned his law degree at the University of Buffalo Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 2011. While at law school, Michael was named to the Jessup Moot Court Board and was a member of the Niagara Cup Moot Court team. Prior to commencing the study of law, Mr. Arthur was a Placement Counselor, recruiting software designers and engineers, with McArthur & Associates in New York City and was a Constituent Aide to NY State Senator Joseph Griffo. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Arthur worked as an Associate in the Rome, NY firm of Leonard & Curley.

Attorney Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers  

article picture KEVIN T. HUNT has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. Membership in the College is limited to one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province and is by invitation only. The College strives to improve and elevate the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice and the ethics of the trial profession. Qualified lawyers are called to Fellowship in the College from all branches of trial practice.

The induction ceremony took place recently before an audience of approximately 465 persons during the recent 2014 Spring Meeting of the College at La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, California. Kevin is a partner at Gale Gale & Hunt, LLC, a boutique litigation firm that represents clients in Upstate and Central New York.

Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.
